It’s Back, Baby!
When we last left our intrepid heroes in 2024, we had taken over the largest beach house on the entire Outer Banks, and somehow, 60 amazing humans made it even bigger. Seven days of ridiculous fun, unforgettable stories, and just the right amount of chaos turned “Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if…” into one of the most epic weeks of our lives.
Well, guess what? We’re doing it again. Same jaw-dropping 36-suite KDH Resort. Same oceanfront sunsets. Same endless list of toys, games, and shenanigans from gourmet feasts, questionable contests, late-night plotting in the movie theater, soaking in the ocean-side hot tubs, and the occasional quiet moment staring at the waves. But no pool. Please don't get in the pool.
Mark your calendars: October 31–November 7, 2026.
This isn’t just a beach trip.
This is Bluebird at the Beach.
Located directly on the oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills, this premier property is a resort in itself. Lavish features can be found throughout the four levels of living space, which include 36 bedrooms, countless common areas, and the most sought-after vacation home amenities. We'll definitely experience the luxury and convenience of this coastal homestead for our large group getaway.
Okay, granted, we ended up in the Outer Banks because of the house instead of the other way around BUT if we had intentionally thought that we could successfully create a TotallyNotAnEvent™ with such an incredible group of people, we might have looked first at the Outer Banks anyway.
The Outer Banks is over 100 miles long and filled with incredible natural beauty within its abundance of parks and wildlife areas, a plethora of historic sites from fortresses to gardens to lighthouses, numerous breweries & distilleries, over 300 restaurants with many serving up local seafood, scores of outdoor activities from fishing to hang gliding, a bevy of beautiful beaches to relax on, and all of it spread across over 20 lovely towns.
I mean, it's vacation so your schedule is absolutely your own, but we will have some structure and events for those that like those sort of things. You can check out the currently fluid agenda.
We will also be having some themed, catered meals that you might not want to miss.
Last year, the Greatest OBX Scavenger Hunt (GOSH) sent daring teams racing from one end of the Banks to the other with a list of 100 items to complete, uncovering hidden gems, oddball landmarks, and stories we’re still telling. It was epic, but it was only the beginning.
The Outer Banks have always held secrets, but none greater than those of its most infamous son: the pirate Blackbeard. His reign ended just off Ocracoke, but whispers say some of his secrets remain, buried in the shifting sands and hidden coves.
Lately, there have been … signs. Markings. Maps. Hints of something long concealed, waiting for the right souls to claim it.
Keep your eyes open. The coast has a way of revealing its secrets to those bold enough to seek them.
It will be the first week of November, but it is still the beach. Historical data would tell us that our days will have highs of about 67 and lows overnight of 54 with almost no rain throughout the week. We'll keep updating the site with whatever information we can come up with to make sure you can dress accordingly
Sunrise each morning we're there will be at about 6:30am and sunset will be in the few minutes before 5:00pm. Tides are all over the place so check out the chart.
